EagerSeeker's Birthday Cache

Needing to get out of the house, I looked up parks in the area.  Les Gove Park in Auburn has a great splash park so off we went.

Found a little cache hiding in a picnic table while we were there.

Highlighter : )

We had to stop for gas on the way home from the Science Center and I saw there was a Geocache nearby.  Not one to pass up and opportunity, we headed over to Angle Lake Park and found this one on the fence.

Dinosaur Train Corythosaurus Cache - KCTS 9

The kids and I went to the Pacific Science Center for the day.  Of course, we had to go Geocaching while there!

This cache was placed by KCTS 9.  We picked up our first Travel Bug at this cache.  A Travel Bug is a little tag that people attach trinkets to and can be tracked online.  Many of them have goals of where they want to go.   Our travel bug had just been placed there that morning and wants to travel to about 9 cities in the US.  We now have to take and place him in a new cache somewhere else.

Not All Who Wander Are Lost

After dinner, we headed into downtown Langley to look around.  This cache was tucked into a tiny, but gorgeous, little pathway garden.  Eric made me take lots of photos for inspiration.  5th one today.

Our third and final cache near the entrance to Castle Park. 4th one today.

This was a fun find tucked into a tree stump.

Another one on Whidbey Island.  This one at the awesome Castle Park.  2nd one today.

It was hidden in some bushes by a carved chair.

Party At the End of Whidbey

This one was located near the ferry dock in Clinton.  Took a bit of hunting, but we found it eventually!  Our first micro cache.

Geocache #1 - WaStatePks100: Dash Point

While visiting the Zoo last week, we stumbled upon two different Geocaches.  Not having a Geocache app, we couldn't open them as we needed the combination.  The kids, of course, were intrigued with the concept and we promptly downloaded the app and got to work hunting to caches shortly thereafter.

This blog will log our cache finds.

Geocache #1 - WaStateParks: Dash Point

We didn't really have a clue what we were doing, but kinda-sorta figured out how to follow the GPS and set off on the trail.  We found the location, and after mucking about in the mud, and getting stung by nettles, we found our first, very muddy, cache!
