Christmas

Christmas finally arrived and the kids had fun digging into their gifts.  We actually had to remind them to finish opening things as they were so busy playing with their new toys.

Elves Love Art Too III

Elves Love Art Too III -GCN2A6

This cache took longer than it should have.  I kept running out of time and having to go back.  I looked up the necessary info on my first trip.  Tried to find it on my 2nd trip and failed.  Finally found it on my 3rd trip just by going off the hint, but not the answers to the questions that were part of the cache.  Oh well!

After all that, I forgot to take a photo.

This ended up being my last cache for 2014.  I found 206 caches in 2014.  Not bad!

Hairstyling and Caching

One of the girls had a hair appointment, so I went caching to kill time while waiting.  It takes a good 2 hours to wash, dry, comb and re-braid their hair.So cute when they are done though!

Very clever hide!

Kerry Viewpoint Park -GC62C8

This one was a bit of a cheat.  It's a Virtual Cache, meaning there is nothing to find per se.  You go to the spot, look up information there and email it to the cache owner to log a find.  I've been to Kerry Park dozens of times and knew what statue they were talking about.  So, I looked up the name online and emailed it in.  Such a cheater!

#200!! And Pacific Science Center.

My 200th find has been eluding me.  I've searched for a few, but haven't had luck, or couldn't get the container open, or any number of strange things.  We were headed to the Pacific Science Center today, so decided to hedge my bets by visiting the Geocache Headquarters in Fremont to guarantee a find.  And, it makes for a cool #200!

Pacific Science Center

The kids had a great time at the Center.  We stayed longer than I ever remember doing before - almost 4 hours.  Pretty impressive with 1 parent and 6 kids.

We grabbed the cache outside the Science Center as we left.

Christmas Party

We went to a Christmas party for foster kids.  It was really nice.  The kids got to play games and win trinkets and candy, wrap gifts for their parents, get their face painted - all for free.

Joshua's Catapult

This is Joshua's Catapult.  He glued it and nailed it together from a kit.  He got it for Christmas at least 3 years ago, but better late than never!

Countdown to Christmas

Appropriate finds for this time of year!  Walked around a nice little wetland lake.

I thought this was my 200th find, but turned out it was only #199.  It took days, and many Did-Not-Find's to get to the real #200.

Welcome to Waterland -GC35K1Q

This is in the parking lot where we frequently meet for Logan's visits.  I have looked for it many times with no success.  Today I practically walked up to it.

In a Gailile Far, Far, Away

Nora took part in our church's Chirstmas play again this year.  This time, she had a speaking part and a short solo.  She did great and had a blast.  I think next year we need to work on smiling though!
