Caching in the Buff
I hadn't cached in a few days and decided to grab a few on the way home from picking up a kid. I only managed to find one out of the 5 I actively looked for. (I'm pretty sure they were missing, not that I couldn't find them.) Sad day for caching!

Team Brockway Totem
Obviously placed by the same group that placed the last one. Looks like there are at least a few more in this series.

Tukwila Pond
Ironically, it was the kids who requested our 7th and final cache of the day. They had swag burning a hole in their pockets and begged me to look up one big enough for swag. We found one nearby at Tukwila Pond. I have seen the signs for this park my whole life, but have never been there. We will not mention the number of wrong turns I took trying to actually get to the park. It is tucked back behind businesses and hotels.
We bushwacked our way down little rabbit trails and found this one.

The sticks were originally on top of the container, but this is a pretty typical larger hide.
Logan, Nora, Joshua
The kids happily traded out their swag and we headed home!
This cache puts me at 22 caches total. One ahead on my cache-a-day goal.
A Lamppost Cache
The kids were by now begging to go home as we were nearing the magical hour where I allow them to use electronics. We had one more errand to run and I noticed a cache in the same parking lot we were already in. Too easy to pass up!
These caches are called "skirt lifters" as you lift the skirt of the light pole to find the cache.
Zeus's Walk Too
Fort Dent cache #3. Placed by the same person as the last one, this time on the other side of the park under a picnic table.

Count Down to Christmas - December 8
I didn't want to leave off our caching for the day on a sour note, and there was a playground nearby, so we set off to Fort Dent Park. I came here many, many times years ago to watch Erica play softball.
While the kids played, I wandered about and grabbed 3 different caches.

Nice little cache hiding under a picnic table.
The path less traveled
We actually remembered our Swag today, so for the next cache, a larger size with room for Swag was a requirement. This one was billed as a "big kids cache" so off we went. The cache was up a really pretty little part of the Interurban trail system.
Sadly, it looks as if the geocache had been vandalized. We found it sitting open, in the middle of the trail. The log was missing along with anything that would have identified it as a Geocache. Lucky for the kids, it was still full of swag! They had fun trading things out.
When we left, we tucked it in a nice spot, hopefully close to where it should have been.
